Supplying energy to a billion people in normal times is a huge challenge in a country like India with varied geographies and landscapes. From the Himalayas in the North, the deserts of Rajasthan in the West to the islands of Andaman in the South, maintaining energy supply lines in India is a tough challenge. But despite all these difficulties, IndianOil, the nation’s flagship oil company, continues serve the people through its more than 50,000 touch points which include more than 29000 fuel stations and 8500 Kisan Seva Kendras.
With country facing the brunt of the Coronavirus pandemic and going into lockdown in the initial months, IndianOil fought against the many risk and difficulties to supply LPG to its mammoth customer base of 13.11 crores. Round the clock operations at LPG Bottling plants were undertaken and 26 lakh LPG cylinders were supplied everyday in months of April and May.
Despite a lockdown, IndianOil smoothly conducted its annual winter stocking activity in which supplies are sent across mountain passes to the remote territory of Ladakh and the high-altitude areas of Kinnaur, Lahaul-Spiti and Chamba in Himachal Pradesh for use in winter months when the area is cut off from rest of the world.
In line with its commitment to serving the nation first, IndianOil also announced a corporate contribution of Rs. 225 crore towards the PM-CARES Fund, created for Covid-19 relief measures.The Corona virus pandemic is a daunting challenge facing the country, but IndianOil is determined to remain resilient, adapt, act and deliver energy to a billion Indians despite adversity as it has done over the past several decades with the motto of ‘Pehle Indian Phir Oil’.

भारत जैसे विविधतापूर्ण भौगोलिक और परिदृश्य वाले देश जहाँ उत्तर में हिमालय, पश्चिम में राजस्थान के रेगिस्तान, दक्षिण में अंडमान के द्वीपों तकसामान्य समय में भी एक अरब लोगों को ऊर्जा की आपूर्ति करना और ऊर्जा आपूर्ति लाइनों को बनाए रखना एक कठिन चुनौती है। लेकिन इन तमाम कठिनाइयों के बावजूद, देश की प्रमुख तेल कंपनी, इंडियनऑयल ने अपने 50,000 से अधिक टच पॉइंट, जिनमें 29000 से अधिक ईंधन स्टेशन और 8500 किसान सेवा केंद्र शामिल हैं,के माध्यम से लोगों की सेवा कर रही है तथा उन्हें निर्बाध ऊर्जा पहुंचा रही है|
देश जब कोरोनावायरस महामारी से जूझ रहा है और शुरुआती महीनों में जब लॉकडाउन में था, तब भी इंडियन ऑयल ने सामने आ रही कठिनाइयों और जोखिम का सामना करते हुए अपने 13.11 करोड़ के विशाल ग्राहक आधार को बिना किसी रुकावट के रसोई गैस की आपूर्ति सुनिश्चित की और अब भी लगातार कर रहा है । इस हेतु अप्रैल और मई के महीनों मेंचौबीसों घंटे एलपीजी बॉटलिंग प्लांटों का संचालन किया गया और लगभग 26 लाख एलपीजी सिलेंडरों की रोज़ाना आपूर्ति की गई।
लॉकडाउन के बावजूद, इंडियनऑयल ने अपनी वार्षिक शीतकालीन स्टॉकिंग गतिविधि को सुचारू रूप से पूर्ण किया जिसमें लद्दाख के दूरदराज के इलाकों,पहाड़ी दर्रे और हिमाचल प्रदेश में किन्नौर, लाहौल-स्पीति और चंबा के ऊंचाई वाले क्षेत्रों में सर्दियों के महीनों में उपयोग के लिए भंडारण किया जाता है जब ये क्षेत्र दुनिया के बाकी हिस्सों से कटा जाते हैं।
पहले राष्ट्र की सेवा करने की अपनी प्रतिबद्धता के अनुरूप, इंडियन ऑयल ने कोविद -19 राहत उपायों के लिए बनाए गए PM-CARES फंड में 225 करोड़ रुपये का कॉर्पोरेट योगदान भी दिया | कोरोना वायरस महामारी देश के सामने एक कठिन चुनौती है, लेकिन इंडियनऑयल प्रतिकूल परिस्थितियों के बावजूद एक अरब भारतीयों के लिए बिना किसी रुकावट ऊर्जा उपलब्धता सुनिश्चित करने के लिए दृढ़ संकल्प है जैसा पिछले कई दशकों में भी ‘पहले इंडियन फ़िर ऑयल’ के स्लोगन के साथ हम करते आए हैं ।
