Faridabad, Sep 18 NHPC has invited applications for the 2nd batch of “NHPC Sports Scholarship Scheme for Upcoming Sportspersons” in 5 sports namely Football, Kabbadi, Boxing, Wrestling and Para Sports. These Scholarships are aimed to be given to promising young players between the age of 14-19 years (14-24 years for para sports) with a view to encourage talent and create a pool of sportspersons during their formative years of education.
There is a maximum provision of 10 nos. of scholarships with 02 nos. of scholarships in each of the 5 sports mentioned above. The applications shall be considered for scholarships in two categories i.e. “Elite Scholar” and “Scholar”, based on the fulfillment of required criteria. The details regarding the scholarships are available in the ‘career corner’ of NHPC website www.nhpcindia.com. The last date for receiving filled in application forms has been extended till 17.10.2019.
