Smt. Seema Gupta, has assumed the charge of Director (Operations) of Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) on 1st March, 2018. Prior to this, she was Executive Director (Northern Region – I) in the Company. A graduate Engineer from Delhi College of Engineering (DCE), she holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from IMT. She has been part of POWERGRID Management since its inception and takes pride in witnessing POWERGRID emerge as one of the largest and best managed transmission utilities in the world.
Smt. Gupta has handled multi-disciplinary functions in various departments such as Commercial, International Business, Corporate Planning, Corporate Monitoring Group and Central Transmission Utility (CTU) in the Company.
She has ensured development of an efficient & economical Inter-State power transmission system for smooth flow of electricity in the country. She also played key role in coordinating with multilateral funding agencies like World Bank and Asian Development Bank for funding of major projects of the Company.
She is a recipient of Special Commendation Award for Outstanding Women Manager in PSE by Hon’ble Former President of India, Shri Pranab Mukehrjee, under Scope Excellence Award to Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs).
She has more than 34 years of experience in power sector and has served in organizations like NTPC and POWERGRID.
श्रीमती सीमा गुप्ता ने पावरग्रिड में निदेशक (प्रचालन) का पदभार संभाला

श्रीमती सीमा गुप्ता ने दिनांक 1 मार्च 2018 को पावर ग्रिड कॉर्पोरेशन ऑफ इंडिया लिमिटेड (पावरग्रिड) के निदेशक (प्रचालन) का पदभार संभाला है। इससे पहले, वह कंपनी में कार्यपालक निदेशक (उत्तरी क्षेत्र- I) के पद पर थीं। दिल्ली कॉलेज ऑफ इंजीनियरिंग (डीसीई) से इंजीनियरिंग तथा आईएमटी से प्रबंधन की शिक्षा प्राप्त कर उन्होने पावरग्रिड की स्थापना के दिनों से ही पावरग्रिड प्रबंधन का हिस्सा बन अहम भूमिका निभायी।
श्रीमती गुप्ता ने कंपनी में वाणिज्यिक, अंतर्राष्ट्रीय व्यापार, कॉर्पोरेट प्लानिंग, कॉर्पोरेट मॉनिटरिंग ग्रुप और सेंट्रल ट्रांसमिशन यूटिलिटी (सीटीयू) जैसे विभिन्न विभागों में बहु-अनुशासनात्मक कार्यों को संभाला है। उन्होंने देश में बिजली के सुगम प्रवाह के लिए एक कुशल एवं किफ़ायती अंतर-राज्यीय विद्युत पारेषण प्रणाली का विकास सुनिश्चित किया है। उन्होनें कंपनी की प्रमुख परियोजनाओं के वित्तपोषण हेतु विश्व बैंक तथा एशियाई विकास बैंक जैसे बहुपक्षीय वित्तपोषण एजेंसियों के साथ समन्वय करने में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका भी निभाई है।
श्रीमती गुप्ता माननीय पूर्व राष्ट्रपति श्री प्रणब मुखर्जी द्वारा स्कोप एक्सिलेंस अवार्ड के तहत भारत के सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र उद्यमों में उत्कृष्ट महिला प्रबंधक के विशेष प्रशान्त पुरस्कार की प्राप्तकर्ता हैं।
