NTPC felicitated for contribution to Swachh Vidyalaya Abhiyan

NTPC the largest Power utility of the country was felicitated for its  contribution towards Swachh Vidyalaya Abhiyan on Nov. 2, 2015.

Piyush Goyal, Minister of State, Independent Charge for Power, Coal, New and Renewable Energy honored  A. K. Jha, CMD , NTPC for championing the cause of Swachh Bharat by successfully constructing  toilets across17 States covering 83 districts  more than 650 blocks of the country.  P K Pujari Secretary (Power),  Anil Swarup, Secretary(Coal) , U Tripathy, Secretary (New & Renewable Energy), Dr S.C.Khuntia, Secretary ( Deptt of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of HRD) were also present on the occasion.

NTPC’s Regional Executive Directors, senior EDs and officials of the CSR team were also felicitated and honored in the programme for the selfless contribution through shear hard work and exemplary dedication  for achieving the target of Swachh Vidyalaya. Despite challenges “Team NTPC” met the target and completed more than 29000 toilets.

Nodal officers for the program from all PSUs  under the Ministry of Power, Coal and New and Renewable Energy were also felicitated.
