New Delhi, Oct 02 : POWERGRID’s Director (Projects) I. S. Jha has taken over additional charge of Chairman & Managing Director of the company with effect from 01/10/2015.
Jha is an electrical engineer from NIT, Jamshedpur. He has been the Director (Projects) in the company since September 2009. He is also on Board of State Transmission utilities of Haryana & Madhya Pradesh, Governing Board Member of CPRI and Member of Board of Governors of Indian Institute of Forest Management.
He is also the member of several prestigious professional bodies including Institute of Engineers (India), Power Engineering Society of IEEE in USA and CIGRE, France.
