NLC Tamil Nadu Power Limited, (NTPL), a Joint Venture Company of NLC (89%) and TANGEDCO (11%), is establishing a 1000 MW (2 Units of 500 MW) Coal based Thermal Power Plant at Tuticorin.
Unit I has successfully completed 72 Hours of continuous operation at 12.30 Hours on 06-06-2015 starting from 12.30 Hours of 03-06-2015. The Unit will now be put into Commercial Operation.
The pre-commissioning activities in Unit II of this Plant are nearing completion and this Unit will also be ready for commercial operation during this month.
