New Delhi, Feb 24: The number of countries and international organisations endorsing the New Delhi Declaration on AI Impact has increased to 91, reinforcing global momentum toward coordinated artificial intelligence governance.
The declaration was adopted at the AI Impact Summit 2026, held in New Delhi last week, and represents a significant milestone in multilateral cooperation on AI policy, innovation, and deployment.
According to India’s Ministry of Electronics and IT, 88 countries and international organisations had endorsed the declaration as of February 21, 2026. The addition of Bangladesh, Costa Rica, and Guatemala has now taken the total number of signatories to 91.

The New Delhi Declaration outlines a framework for leveraging AI as a driver of economic growth, digital transformation, and social impact.
