New Delhi, May 04: The UAE General Civil Aviation Authority has announced the full resumption of normal air navigation operations, leading to increased flight services between the UAE and India, according to the Ministry of External Affairs.
Airlines including Air India, Air India Express, IndiGo, and Qatar Airways have resumed or expanded operations from the region, reflecting a broader improvement in the Middle East aviation environment.
Flights are operating normally from Saudi Arabia and Oman, while airspace in Qatar and Iran remains partially open. Meanwhile, Kuwait and Bahrain have fully reopened their airspace, supporting additional connectivity to India.
Operations in Iraq and Israel are limited but functional for onward travel routes.
The government has advised Indian nationals to avoid travel to Iran and encouraged those currently there to exit via land borders. The Indian Embassy in Tehran has facilitated the evacuation of over 2,500 nationals through such routes.
Authorities said they continue to monitor regional developments closely, with Indian missions operating round-the-clock helplines and coordinating with local governments to ensure the safety and welfare of Indian citizens.
The easing of airspace restrictions is expected to restore travel and logistics flows between India and the Gulf region, supporting both passenger movement and trade connectivity.
