New Delhi, Dec 16: Over 7.28 crore MSMEs have registered on the Udyam Registration Portal since its launch in July 2020, enabling access to government benefits such as formal credit.
More than 50 API integrations have been established, aiding policy design and improvements. The government is addressing concerns about barriers to MSME growth through measures like digitization, single-window clearances, and simplified procedures for Ease of Doing Business.
Initiatives include the MSME SAMBANDH, MSE-GIFT, MSE-SPICE, and PMEGP schemes. As of November 30, there are 2.86 crore women-led MSMEs registered, facilitating access to finance, markets, and technology, particularly for enterprises in remote areas.
