New Delhi, Oct 22: Tata Motors has delivered over 1 lakh vehicles within the last 30 days from Navratri to Deepawali, marking a 33% YoY surge in sales since the Goods and Services Tax (GST) reforms came into effect on September 22.
The company’s SUVs, particularly the Nexon and Punch, have been the most popular, with over 38,000 retail sales and 32,000 units sold respectively. The company’s EV portfolio also showed strong traction, with over 10,000 EVs retailed during the period, a 37% increase.
This performance sets the tone for the rest of the fiscal year, as the auto sector sees one of its strongest single-day performances in years.
