New Delhi, Dec 30: On January 2, the Reserve Bank of India will auction Rs 32,000 crore of the “6.48 per cent Government Security 2035.”
The auction will be conducted using a price-based method and will allow for an additional Rs 2,000 crore in subscriptions. Eligible individuals and institutions may receive up to 5% of the amount through non-competitive bidding, which must be submitted electronically between 10:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., while competitive bids are accepted until 11:30 a.m.
Auction results will be released the same day, with payments due by January 5. These government bonds are seen as low-risk investments that help finance public expenditures.
