Faridabad, Aug 09 NHPC Limited, India’s premier hydropower company organized ‘Van Mahotsav 2021’ programme in association with Haryana Forest Department, Faridabad near NHPC Chowk, Faridabad on 9th August 2021 with an objective of increasing the greenery alongside Delhi-Mathura National Highway.
The programme started by plantation of saplings by A.K. Singh, CMD, NHPC and Raj Kumar, IFS, Deputy Conservator Forest, Faridabad. N.K. Jain, Director (Personnel), Y.K. Chaubey, Director (Technical), R.P. Goyal, Director (Finance) from NHPC, Pradeep Gulia, Range Officer, Haryana Forest Department, Faridabad, Ashok Kumar, SHO, Sector-37, Faridabad and other senior NHPC officers and employees also planted saplings during the programme.
The Haryana Forest Department, Faridabad provided over 700 saplings of various species, which included Peepal, Kadamb, Palash, Karanj, Neem etc. for plantation during the programme. Tree guards were also placed to provide protection to the saplings.
