The 23rd National Pulse Polio Programme-2018 was inaugurated by Shri M. Karthikeyan, CGM/TA, at Health Center, Block-18, Neyveli Township on 28.01.2018 in the presence of Senior Officials from Township Administration Department, Doctors from NLCILGH, Health Staff and members of Various Volunteer Groups.
Health Officials of TA informed that 22 fixed booths, 6 transit booths and 2 mobile teams have been established in Township to administer the polio drops. All Children in the age group of 0-5 years will be given 2 drops of Polio Vaccine.
3411 Children have been given polio drops out of targeted population of 4500, on 28.01.2018.
All the houses in township will be surveyed on 29.01.2018 and 30.01.2018 by Health Volunteers to identify left out children and will be given the polio drops. The second phase of the 23rd National Pulse Polio Programme will be held on 11.03.2018.
