Mangaluru, 6 December 2025: Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL) commemorated the 69th Mahaparinirvan Diwas on December 6, 2025, honoring Dr. B. R. Ambedkar’s legacy, acknowledged for his contributions to equality, justice, and human dignity.
Senior officials, including Managing Director Mundkur Shyam Prasad Kamath and Director (Refinery) Nanda Kumar V Pillai, paid floral tributes at Dr. Ambedkar’s statue near the MRPL Admin Building.
The gathering reflected on Dr. Ambedkar’s influential role in drafting the Indian Constitution, fostering social harmony, and advancing an equitable society.
In conjunction with the observance, MRPL and the MSSEWA organized a Blood Donation Camp in collaboration with Wenlock District Hospital, Mangaluru.
Nanda Kumar emphasized Dr. Ambedkar’s significant impact on India’s judicial system and his advocacy for the upliftment of marginalized communities, integral to India’s emergence as a global economic leader.
The blood donation initiative saw enthusiastic participation from employees, their families, and the secondary workforce, underscoring MRPL’s dedication to community welfare and social responsibility.
