New Delhi, Feb 13 India is set to host one of the biggest global gatherings on Artificial Intelligence as more than 20 world leaders, including French President Emmanuel Macron, Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva and Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, arrive for the India–AI Impact Summit 2026 from February 16–20.
The high-profile summit in New Delhi is being positioned as a defining global platform on Artificial Intelligence governance, regulation, innovation and digital transformation. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said the summit will revolve around three core pillars — People, Planet and Progress — shaping India’s approach to responsible and inclusive AI development.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has invited several key global leaders to participate, including Netherlands Prime Minister Dick Schoof, Sri Lanka President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, Bhutan Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay and Mauritius Prime Minister Navinchandra Ramgoolam.
Other prominent attendees include Spain Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez Perez-Castejon, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Croatia Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic, Estonia President Alar Karis and Finland Prime Minister Petteri Orpo, among others.
According to the MEA, ministerial delegations from over 45 countries, alongside the UN Secretary-General and senior officials from leading international organisations, will join the AI deliberations — underscoring India’s growing influence in shaping global technology policy.
President Emmanuel Macron will arrive in India on February 17 for an official visit and is expected to hold wide-ranging talks with PM Narendra Modi under the Horizon 2047 Roadmap. President Lula will be on a State Visit from February 18–22, with both leaders participating in the AI Impact Summit on February 19–20.
With global AI regulation, digital governance and emerging technology cooperation high on the agenda, the India–AI Impact Summit 2026 is expected to set the tone for the next phase of international AI collaboration.
