New Delhi, Dec 19: The Sixth session of the 18th Lok Sabha, which took place from December 1 to December 19, concluded with Speaker Om Birla highlighting a remarkable productivity rate of 111%.
Over the course of 15 sittings, the Parliament accumulated a total of 92 hours and 25 minutes of deliberation, featuring significant discussions such as the national song “Vande Mataram,” which lasted over 11 hours.
During the session, ten government bills, including the Viksit Bharat – Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) Bill and the Health Security se National Security Cess Bill, were introduced and passed. Additionally, members raised 408 urgent public matters during the Zero Hour and responded to numerous starred and unstarred questions.
The session also saw the introduction of 137 Private Members’ bills, as well as visits from international delegates, including the Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia. Overall, Speaker Birla commended the active engagement of Lok Sabha members throughout the session.
