Assam, Mar 08 Oil India Limited Pipeline,hosted an inspiring and memorable celebration of International Women’s Day (IWD), honoring the extraordinary women who contribute to the continued success and growth of the Company. The event reflected the commitment towards recognizing and uplifting the vital role of women in the workforce, particularlyacrossthepumpstationsandterminals.
The morning celebration in office was graced by Jyoti Prakash Paramananda Das, Executive Director (PLS), Arunjyoti Baruah, CGM (HR&A),PL, along with senior officers from PLS.Also present were the President and other Officials of the recognized Union IOWU, PL Branch.
Together, they addressed a gathering of women executives, employees, praising their exceptional dedication, resilience, and unwavering contributions to the company’s success.Theirwordshighlightednotonlytheindividualachievementsofthewomen present but also the broader impact women continue to make on the Company’s overall growth and the prosperity of the Nation.
To celebrate the spirit of womanhood, the Narangi Ladies Club and Luitpar Ladies Club from OIL organized a special Women’s Day celebration, which included a cake- cutting ceremony. The event featured two inspiring personalities as guests of honor:
Mandira Baruah, a social worker and the founder and president of the Satsaree NGO, who has created employment opportunities for over 5,000 women through both direct and indirect means, and Smti Leena Sharma, an IRTS officer, who, despite her demanding professional commitments, finds time to pursue her passion for writing novels and short stories. Both distinguished guests graciously shared their valuable experiences, offering encouragement and inspiration to all in attendance.
The event concluded with heartfelt moments of connection, where employees and leaders alike came together to celebrate the strength, creativity, and influence of women, leaving a lasting impact on everyone involved.
