New Delhi, Dec 04: Under the IT Modernization Project 2.0, the Department of Posts has implemented the Advanced Postal Technology (APT) platform, a cloud-based solution enhancing postal services.
Launched on August 4, 2025, it integrates around 1.70 lakh offices and supports Postmen and Grameen Dak Sevaks with smartphones and biometric devices for banking services.
The India Post Payments Bank now offers various financial services, including account openings and Aadhaar-linked services, through a network of over 25,000 post offices connected to the IPPB Core Banking Solution.
This was disclosed by Minister Dr. Pemmasani Chandra Sekhar in the Rajya Sabha.
