New Delhi, Jan 24: Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri emphasized the current favorable environment for the youth to join India’s workforce, citing the country’s recognition as a stable growth engine amid global challenges.
In a social media update, he noted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has distributed over 11 lakh appointment letters nationwide through Rozgar Melas, with 61,000 letters handed out during the recent event across 45 locations.
Puri personally distributed 25 letters during the event in Chandigarh, which targeted candidates in various sectors including ITBP, CRPF, and the Ministry of Electronics and IT.
Reflecting on India’s evolution since his entry into the Indian Foreign Service in 1974, Puri compared the country’s previous limitations with the current economic landscape, which features trillions in GDP, enhanced financial markets, and strengthened institutions. He underscored the shift in focus for public servants from managing scarcity to building capabilities efficiently and with integrity.
