New Delhi, 20.11.2023 : On 20.11.2023 at about 1150 hrs, on the basis of behaviour detection, CISF surveillance and intelligence staff noticed suspicious activities of two foreign passengers at Check-in area, Terminal-3 of IGI Airport, who were carrying 05 big trolley bags. On suspicion, both the passengers later identified as Mr. Akobirkhom Sainabiev and Mr. Temirlan Buteshov (Kyrgyzstan Nationals) were diverted to the random checking point for thorough checking of their baggages.
On screening of their trolley bags through X-BIS machine, CISF personnel noticed suspicious images inside all the 05 trolley bags. On physical checking, huge quantity of medicines (Regapen 300 mg capsules) of approximate value INR 25 lakh were detected. On enquiry, the passengers could not produce supporting documents for carrying such huge quantity of medicines. The matter was informed to Senior Officers of CISF and Customs Officials. Later, both the passenger alongwith detected medicines were handed over to Customs for further action in the matter.
