New Delhi, Feb 17 he India AI Impact Summit 2026, currently underway in New Delhi, is focused on advancing the application of artificial intelligence for broad societal benefit, in line with the vision articulated by Narendra Modi.
Positioned as the first global AI convening of this scale in the Global South, the summit has drawn over 100 government delegations, including heads of state and leading global technology executives, to deliberate on AI-driven inclusive growth, innovation, and sustainable development.
A key milestone at the event is the announcement of finalists for the Global Impact Challenges — AI for ALL, AI by HER, and YUVAi. The initiatives attracted more than 4,650 applications from over 60 countries, with 70 shortlisted teams set to engage with policymakers and access institutional support to scale their solutions.
The summit also features a Research Symposium on AI, organised in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad, addressing priority themes such as scientific discovery and equitable access to AI infrastructure, with participation from global AI leaders and researchers.
In parallel, Emmanuel Macron’s visit underscores efforts to deepen India–France cooperation, particularly in technology and innovation. The summit, concluding on February 20, is positioned as a strategic platform to strengthen international collaboration and shape the future of responsible AI development.
