New Delhi, Feb 16 On Monday night, X Corp, which is run by Elon Musk, experienced a worldwide outage that impacted users in the US, UK, India, and other nations. Users complained that they couldn’t load posts on the platform or log in.
The number of reports increased to over 25,000, according to the outage tracking portal Down Detector. Of those impacted, 16% of website users experienced problems logging in, and 53% of app users were unable to do so.
X has not responded to the disruption, and it is currently unknown what caused the outage.
For X, this is the most recent in a string of outages. Similar disruptions were experienced by thousands of users globally in November 2025 as a result of Cloudflare’s infrastructure problems, which were eventually fixed. Global outages also affected the platform in May 2025, with 41% of users reporting issues logging in and others reporting issues with the website and app.
Over 5,000 reports have been recorded on Down Detector globally, with thousands of users in India trying to access X but failing.
