New Delhi, Feb 13: Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has approved the construction of a modern Road Over Bridge (ROB) to replace a level crossing between Malahar Halt and Samsi stations in Bihar’s Katihar Division.
This project, funded entirely by the Railways at an estimated cost of Rs 177 crore, aims to improve traffic management and safety in a high-traffic area. With a Traffic Vehicle Units (TVU) count of 4,21,001, the initiative also focuses on enhancing connectivity and public convenience for local commuters, students, and traders.
The project is part of the Northeast Frontier Railway’s commitment to infrastructural modernization and regional development.
