The Amrit Bharat Station Scheme is a nationwide initiative aimed at modernising railway stations by providing state-of-the-art passenger facilities and integrating stations with surrounding urban infrastructure. The programme focuses on creating safe, accessible and passenger-friendly transport hubs that improve the overall travel experience.

As part of the redevelopment, a new station building has been constructed along with a 12-metre-wide Foot Over Bridge (FOB) equipped with two passenger lifts. The station also features a new parking area, redesigned circulating area, upgraded platform shelters, improved platform surfaces and tactile pathways, ensuring smoother movement for passengers.

Special attention has been given to universal accessibility through the creation of Divyang-friendly infrastructure. To enhance the station’s visual appeal, façade lighting has been installed and landscaping work has been carried out around the premises. These improvements create a cleaner, safer and more welcoming environment while supporting Indian Railways’ vision of developing modern railway stations with world-class facilities.

The redevelopment of Narwana Railway Station demonstrates Indian Railways’ continued focus on improving passenger services, strengthening regional connectivity and delivering high-quality infrastructure under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.
