New Delhi, Jan 21 (IANS): NHAI has achieved four Guinness World Records in the construction of the Bengaluru–Kadapa–Vijayawada Economic Corridor, showcasing India’s engineering excellence, according to Union Minister Nitin Gadkari.
The records, established through advanced technology and quality standards, include the longest continuous bituminous concrete laying covering 28.89 lane km in 24 hours and a total of 10,655 metric tonnes of material laid in the same timeframe.
Additional records were set for continuous paving of 156 lane km, surpassing the previous standard. This 343 km corridor is designed for safe, high-speed travel, featuring interchanges, amenities, and a tunnel.
