On January 20, the Department of Posts announced the activation of 887 ATMs across India, enhancing banking accessibility, particularly in rural areas.
This initiative supports the government’s goal of financial inclusion through digital transformation, allowing citizens to perform essential banking tasks like withdrawals and balance checks conveniently.
Additionally, the Department successfully executed its first online order through the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC), marking a significant milestone in offering digitally enabled logistics services, further leveraging its extensive postal network.
