New Delhi, Jan 15: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the 28th Commonwealth Speakers’ Conference (CSPOC) at the Central Hall of Samvidhan Sadan in New Delhi.

The conference, chaired by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, will feature 61 Speakers and Presiding Officers from 42 Commonwealth countries and delegates from four semi-autonomous parliaments.

The event aims to position India as a key player in parliamentary dialogue and democratic cooperation. Discussions will center on various contemporary issues, focusing on the role of Speakers in upholding democratic institutions amidst political and technological changes.
