New Delhi, Nov 14: India’s NITI Aayog Vice Chairman Suman Bery emphasized the need for affordable and sustainable energy security during a conference, advocating for a balanced mix of public and private participation in the energy market.
He highlighted energy security as not only ensuring supply but also about affordability and resilience, calling for a broader framework that encompasses economic stability and consumer protection.
The conference also featured Piyush Gangadhar from the Ministry of External Affairs, who discussed India’s multi-pronged approach to energy security, combining various supply sources and global partnerships, and underlined the importance of self-reliance alongside international cooperation.
Both speakers indicated a focus on existing technologies like solar and renewables to meet future energy needs while addressing geopolitical challenges.
