Faridabad, Sep 01 Sanjay Kumar Singh, Director (Projects), NHPC Limited, has assume charge as the Chairman and Managing Director of Navratna PSU NHPC under the aegis of Ministry of Power.
With over 33 years of experience in the Power and Infrastructure sector, Sanjay Kumar Singh has overseen the execution of mega and prestigious projects in India and Bhutan. He has already held the position of Director (Projects) since 24.07.2024 and has made significant progress in other under construction projects.
He also held the additional charge of Director (Technical) from 08.08.2024 to 16.04.2025. He chairs the boards of NHPC Renewable Energy Limited and Jalpower Corporation Limited, and is appointed as Nominee Director on the boards of Ratle Hydroelectric Power Corporation Limited and Chenab Valley Power Projects Limited.
Prior to his appointment, Singh worked with SJVN Ltd. as Chief General Manager, where he led the construction of major components of India’s largest hydroelectric power projects. He has extensive experience in key project activities, including project construction, survey, investigation, pre-construction, and contract management.
