Neyveli, August 18 NLC India Limited (NLCIL), a Navratna Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Coal, has embarked on a historic journey to become the first organization in India to undergo assessments for the International Project Management Association (IPMA) Delta Certification—an organizational-level project management maturity assessment of global repute.
The onsite assessment commenced today with a formal Kick-off Meeting, attended by the Chairman and Managing Director, Functional Directors, Executive Directors, and Project/Unit Heads of NLCIL, along with a distinguished panel of IPMA Assessors of global eminence:
- Dr. A. Sivathanu Pillai – Padma Bhushan & Padma Shri awardee, architect of India’s missile and space programs, and President, PMA India.
- Dr. Reinhard Wagner – Global leader in project, program, and portfolio management; author of the OCB framework.
- Dr. JesúsMartínezAlmela – Former IPMA President, known for shaping project excellence and sustainability practices across industries.
- K.S. Jamestin – Former Director (HR), ONGC; IPMA Level A certified professional with expertise in project governance and HR leadership.
- T.R. Arora – Former Director, NPCIL; accomplished project leader in India’s infrastructure and energy domains.
- M. Nandakumar – Managing Director, Nanwin Energy; senior professional in project execution and governance across public enterprises.
- T. Srinivasan – Regional Director (South), veteran professional advancing project management practices.
Speaking on the occasion, the CMD of NLCIL highlighted that with this certification process, NLCIL is not only benchmarking its project governance practices with international standards but also reinforcing its commitment to growing stronger, smarter, and more resilient in project execution and management.
The IPMA Delta Certification is a comprehensive maturity assessment that evaluates organizational capability in project, program, and portfolio management.
