Swift Action Ensures Safety and Control of Fire Incident near Jasidih Terminal

Indian Oil clocks 50 pc jump in Q4 net profit at Rs 7,265 crore

New Delhi, March 20: In response to recent media reports regarding a fire incident at the IndianOil Terminal in Jasidih, Jharkhand, IndianOil would like to clarify the following:

On March 18, 2025, a fire incident occurred in the green belt area of the new Tank Truck parking of IndianOil terminal at Jasidih.The affected area is outside the terminal’s licensed premises.The visible smoke was caused due to the empty MDPE pipes used for laying City Gas Distribution (CGD) network stored in the area, that caught fire.A thorough investigation is currently underway to ascertain the cause of the fire.

IndianOil’s emergency response teams, in coordination with local authorities and district administration, acted swiftly to control the situation andno injuries or fatalities were reported.At the time of fire, there were no tank trucks inside the Tank Truck parking area. The fire was contained promptly, ensuring the safety of the premises and surrounding areas.
