New Delhi, Aug 04: R. K. Tyagi, Chairman and Managing Director, Power Grid Corporation of India Limited(POWERGRID) met M. Srinivas, Director,AlIMS, Delhi in the presence of other Senior Officials of POWERGRID, A. K. Mishra, ED (NR-I), A. Nagaraju, ED (ESMD) and Vikram Singh Bhal, ED (CC-CMG).Discussions were held for collaboration in CSR support to AlIMS for better service to poor and underprivileged through automation and facilities provision.
POWERGRID as a responsible corporate citizen has made a 300 bedded VishramSadan at AIIMS, Delhi for providing a comfortable and cost effective stay to the patients and their relatives during treatment. Apart from this POWERGRID has also constructed VishramSadans at various hospitals all over India includingKGMC, Lucknow, UP, IGIMS, Patna, Bihar, DMCH, Darbhanga, Bihar, GMCH, Guwahati, Assam, SSG, Vadodara, Gujarat, NIMHANS, Bengaluru, Karnataka and RIMS, Ranchi.
POWERGRID has played an important role in the field of rural development, education, healthcare, skill development, environment, drinking water, water conservation and sanitation by contributing to economic and social development across the country with its CSR initiatives.
