New Delhi, Nov 26: NLCIL’s Education department celebrated Children’s day on 24-11-2023 at Lignite hall, Block-10 Neyveli Township. An exhibition displaying about 750 craft works artistically created by the school students using clay, wax, cotton, paper, stone, wood, glass, coconut shell etc was inaugurated by Prasanna Kumar Mottupalli CMD, NLCIL.

Fancy dress parade by School Students disguising as great national leaders and personalities and cultural programmes were also organised.
GM Education Sports and Culture welcomed the gathering. Director /HR addressed the Children and praised the craft works done by students. The CMD during his presidential address appreciated the Education Department and emphasized to inculcate the innovative method in learning process. During the function, CMD presented Cash Award of Rs.10,000/- for the girl students who excelled in the public exams 2022-23 in X and XII in CBSE and State Board.

Cultural programmes were performed by Smart Kids school, KV school, Sri. Aurobindo Higher Secondary School, St. Joseph of Cluny, NMJ high school, NLC Girls Higher Secondary School.

All the programmes were very much enjoyed by more than 1000 participants. Director/HR, CGM/TA, senior officials, HMs/Teachers from various Neyveli schools have participated. The programme culminated with vote of thanks.
