New Delhi, April 03: Prasanna Kumar Motupalli, Chairman and Managing Director of NLC India Limited inaugurated the Continuous Ambient Air Quality Monitoring Station (CAAQMS) and Real-Time Safety Surveillance Monitoring system at Thermal Power Station II Expansion on 31.03.2023 (Friday).
The Continuous Ambient Air Quality Monitoring Station (CAAQMS) will determine status and trends of ambient air quality, to ascertain whether the prescribed ambient air quality standards are violated and to Identify and understand the natural cleansing process undergoing in the environment.
Prasanna Kumar Motupalli, CMD, speaking on the occasion, lauded the efforts put in by the Chief General Manager / Thermal Power Station II Expansion and his team in installing the CAAQM Station and Real-Time Safety Surveillance Monitoring System. He also called upon all other Thermal Stations and Mines to install CAAQM Stations at the earliest.
Prasanna Kumar stressed upon the importance of proper implementation of Safety & Environment systems from the perspective of NLCIL. He also appreciated the entire NLCIL family and Contract Workmen for clocking 30 Billion Units Power Generation during FY 2022-23. He elucidated NLCIL’s efforts & initiatives towards green power generation and informed that NLCIL would be adding a 300 MW Solar based Power Plant at Barsingsar, Rajasthan in the FY 2023-24.
Director (Planning & Projects) & Director Power (Additional Charge), speaking on the occasion, congratulated the Occupier, Factory Manager of TPS II Expansion & the entire team for their efforts.
It is believed that, with the insights & ideas provided by CMD and Directors of NLCIL, the Thermal Power Station II Expansion team will be benefited in uplifting the Performance of the Station while excelling in Environment & Safety Systems.
NLCIL Functional Directors Kalasani Mohan Reddy, Director (Planning & Projects) and Director Power (Additional Charge), Suresh Chandra Suman, Director (Mines) and Director Finance (Additional Charge), Samir Swarup, Director (Human Resources), L. Chandrasekar, Chief Vigilance Officer, Executive Director (Thermal) along with Occupier / CGM, TPS II Expansion, Factory Manager / TPS II Expansion, Senior Officials of NLC India Limited, representatives of recognized Trade Unions and Welfare Associations were present during the inaugural function.
