PRASANNA KUMAR, CMD, NLCIL INAUGURATES IIC PROTOTYPE DEMONSTRATION HUB TO ENCOURAGE INNOVATIVE START-UPS

New Delhi, March 07: Prasanna Kumar Motupalli, Chairman and Managing Director of NLC India Limited inaugurated the “Innovation Incubation Centre (IIC) Prototype Demonstration Hub” at the Centre for Applied Research and Development (CARD), Neyveli on 04-03-2023.

The Centre which will promote innovation and start-ups in a big way and an administrative building were inaugurated in the presence of K.Mohan Reddy, Director/P&P & Director/Power (Addl. Charge), Dr. Suresh Chandra Suman, Director/Mines & Director/Finance (Addl. Charge), Samir Swarup, Director/HR, Dr. L.Chandrasekar, IFS, CVO, Smt. G.Ranialli, Executive Director/CARD, S.Ravikumar, Chief General Manager/CARD and other senior officials, Employees and representatives from Engineers & Officers Association, Recognized Unions & Welfare Associations of NLC India Limited.

NLCIL has established the IIC in collaboration with Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore & Anna University, Chennai. Financial support was extended to the Institutions for establishing the IIC. Specific subjects /themes
related to the core business of NLCIL was identified to attract innovators/Start – ups to achieve the Atal Innovation Mission. Laboratory, workstation, Prototype sheds were developed to promote innovation and Entrepreneurship
for supporting the Start-ups.

The Innovation Incubation Demonstration Hub is a space dedicated to nurturing innovation and entrepreneurship by providing necessary resources and infrastructure for start-ups and entrepreneurs to develop and test their ideas. The Administrative building, on the other hand, will serve as the administrative and operational center for the hub.

As part of the program, one of the prototype projects was also inaugurated by CMD, NLCIL, which showcases the potential of the IIC hub and its resources in promoting innovation and entrepreneurship development.
