Maha Kumbh General Overview

• 40 Cr pilgrims will participate during the Kumbh period, 5 cr will be part of during Mauni Amavasya.
• All the goods trains have been diverted in DFC
• 5,000 Cr work done in last 3 years for Maha Kumbh
• Total 13,000 trains = 10,000 regular trains + 3,134 Special trains
  4. Special trains are 4.5 times more than last kumbh.
  5. 3,134 Special trains will include = (Short distance spl train 1,869 + Long distance 706 trains + ring trains 559 )

Passenger facilities in prayagraj area

• Station 9 all with second entry
• 48 PF
• 21 FoB
• 23 permanent holding areas holding capacity will be More than a lakh people.
• 1,186 CCTV
• Announcement in 12 languages  at Prayagraj, Naini, Cheoki and Subedarganj
• 554 ticketing arrangements ( 151 mobile UTS )
• 21 ROB/RUBs : Improving mobility of road as well as rail
• Infra creation 3,700 Cr
  • Banaras – Prayagraj doubling (including Ganga bridge)
  • Phaphamau – Janghai doubling
