State Bank of India (SBI) has received the prestigious ‘Brand of the Year’ award in the banking category at the World Branding Awards, reinforcing its position as India’s most trusted public sector bank. The award ceremony took place at the Hilton Paris Opera in Paris, France, where leading brands from across the globe were recognised for excellence.

Organised by the World Branding Forum (WBF), the awards honour organisations that have demonstrated exceptional brand leadership, customer trust, and market influence. The forum is a global non-profit organisation dedicated to promoting higher branding standards through research, education, and industry collaboration.

At the ceremony, 50 brands from 22 countries were honoured across various sectors, including banking, telecommunications, hospitality, luxury, fashion, food, and consumer services. SBI emerged as the winner in the Banking – India category, highlighting its continued reputation for reliability, innovation, and customer service.

The recognition reflects SBI’s enduring brand strength, built over decades through its extensive banking network, digital transformation, and commitment to serving millions of customers across India.
