OIL Commences Vigilance Awareness Week – 2021


Duliajan, Oct 27, 2021:OIL commenced the observance of Vigilance Awareness Week (VAW) 2021 with the taking of the integrity pledge at its various offices today on the theme Independent India@75: Self Reliance with Integrity.Every year the weeklong campaign is observed for employees, families and stake holders rededicating themselves to the mission of inculcating honesty and integrity in every aspect of business and personal dealings.The Week-long program of VAW 2021 was ceremoniously inaugurated today at OIL’s Field Headquarter, Duliajan by Prasanta Borkakoty, Resident Chief Executive (RCE) in presence of various officials of OIL including the officials of Vigilance department followed byintegrity pledge taking.

Prasanta Borkakoty, RCE, OIL in his inaugural address reiterated how every Oil Indianhas to be vigilant throughout the year in one’s professional or personal life and the Awareness Week observed every year is to remind us of that round-the-clock responsibility. He further added that role of Vigilance department is immense and we must give our best to make OIL a vigilant organization.

Biman Saha, GM (Vigilance) emphasized on taking e-pledge available in CVC’s website by all the stake holders &wide publicity of complaint receiving mechanism under Public Interest Disclosure and Protection of Informers (PIDPI) resolution.

As a part of the campaign, a Webinar was also held today titled “Stage-wise Assessment of Integrity Risks in Procurement”. Smt. Garima Lohani Bhagat, an Indian Revenue Service Officer in the rank of Commissioner of Income Tax was the resource person.

As part of VAW 2021, OIL has planned many outreach activities such as display of hoardings, banners, PIDPI posters, webinar, seminar, quiz, drawing, essay writing&wallpaperdesign competitions, etc. School children will also be involved in various events.
