Dr Raman Singh, Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh inaugurated the newly-built Industrial Training Institute (ITI) at a ceremony in Korba last evening. Built over an area of 10 acres at Chorbhati village near Korba in the vicinity of the NTPC power station, the ITI is all set to start the sessions from this academic calendar. ITI has been constructed as part of Community Development initiatives of NTPC.
An estimated Rs 10 crore has been invested in the project for skill development. Courses and initially five trades- Wielder, Fitter, Instrumentation & Mechanics, Electrician and Computer Operator & Programming Assistant (COPA) are part of the curriculum.
