Bongaigaon, March 08: NTPC Limited’s Bongaigaon unit celebrated International Women’s Day 2026 with enthusiastic participation from women employees, members of the Bardwi Shikla Ladies Club, women personnel from the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), and teachers from Notre Dame School and Ankur Tiny Tots School.
The programme was organised around the themes #GiveToGain and #SheLeadsBharat, highlighting the spirit of empowerment, leadership and collective growth.
Addressing the gathering, Anurag Gupta, General Manager (O&M), NTPC Bongaigaon, praised the dedication and achievements of women employees and acknowledged their significant contribution to the organisation’s growth. He emphasised the importance of creating an inclusive work environment that encourages women to excel and actively contribute to organisational progress.
Earlier, Amit Kumar Asthana, Head of Human Resources at NTPC Bongaigaon, delivered the welcome address and highlighted the vital role women play in strengthening workplace culture and organisational development.
A key highlight of the event was a financial planning session conducted by Priyanka Nahata of IntyGritty MoneyTree, an AMFI-registered mutual fund distribution firm based in Bongaigaon, Assam. The session focused on financial awareness, investment strategies and the importance of financial independence, particularly for women.
