New Delhi, Feb 26: NLC India Limited (NLCIL), a PSU under the Ministry of Coal, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with National Power Training Institute (NPTI), the apex training body under the Ministry of Power, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility initiative.

The MoU was signed at NLCIL’s Corporate Office in Neyveli by Saravanabhavan A KR, Unit Head (Learning & Development), on behalf of NLCIL, and Smt. S. Amirthavalli, Director, on behalf of NPTI, in the presence of senior officials including Director (HR) Samir Swarup.

Under the agreement, NLCIL and NPTI will jointly offer a one-year job-oriented Post-Diploma Course in Power Plant Engineering for Project Affected Persons (PAPs) of NLCIL and deserving unemployed youth from Cuddalore district, Tamil Nadu. The programme aims to enhance employability and create opportunities in leading power and energy companies.

The collaboration aligns with the broader vision of Viksit Bharat 2047 by strengthening skill development, generating employment and meeting the growing demand for a skilled workforce in the power sector.
