NLC India CMD Wins ‘Pride Of Telangana’ Award

New Delhi, April 20: Prasanna Kumar Motupalli, Chairman and Managing Director of NLC India Limited, has been conferred the “Pride of Telangana” Award at the 4th Telangana Public Relations Conference & National Public Relations Day celebrations आयोजित by the Public Relations Society of India.

The award, presented in Hyderabad, recognises Motupalli’s leadership and contributions to the energy sector, particularly in driving operational excellence, sustainability, and innovation at NLC India. The honour was presented by K. Sreenivas Reddy, Ch. Priyanka, and K. Nageswar in the presence of industry and government dignitaries.

A native of Bhadrachalam, Telangana, Motupalli said the recognition holds special significance as it comes from his home state. Under his leadership, NLC India has expanded its footprint across lignite mining, thermal power generation, and renewable energy, while strengthening governance and operational efficiency.

The company currently supplies around 400 MW of power to the Telugu states, contributing to regional energy security and economic development. It has also made progress in diversification, capacity expansion, and digital transformation, alongside implementing employee and community-focused welfare initiatives.
