Narendra Modi Launches Samrat Samprati Museum in Gandhinagar

Gandhi Nagar, March 31: Narendra Modi inaugurated the Samrat Samprati Museum at Koba Tirth in Gandhinagar on the occasion of Mahavir Jayanti, highlighting India’s rich cultural and spiritual heritage.

Developed within the Mahavir Jain Aradhana Kendra campus, the museum is named after Samrat Samprati and serves as a repository of Jain history and traditions.

The facility features seven thematic wings, presenting a chronological account of Jainism’s evolution and its cultural contributions. It houses over 2,000 artefacts, including ancient manuscripts, sculptures, miniature paintings, coins, and traditional relics.

Designed as a modern cultural hub, the museum integrates digital and audio-visual elements to enhance visitor engagement, positioning itself as a centre for research, education, and heritage tourism.

The inauguration forms part of the Prime Minister’s broader engagements in Gujarat, reinforcing the government’s focus on promoting cultural infrastructure and tourism-led development.
