Mangaluru, 1 June 2026: Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL) has appointed Pattathil Sujith as Executive Director (Projects), strengthening its leadership team as the company advances expansion, modernization and energy transition initiatives.
Before his elevation, Sujith served as Group General Manager – Corporate Strategy, where he played a pivotal role in business planning, strategic initiatives and long-term growth planning for the company.
A Mechanical Engineer from Palakkad, Kerala, Sujith brings more than three decades of industry experience. Since joining MRPL in 1993, he has worked across multiple functions, including Maintenance, Reliability, Engineering & Inspection, Projects and Corporate Strategy.
During his tenure, he contributed significantly to the commissioning of MRPL’s Phase I, II and III refinery units, the implementation of the Asset Integrity Management System for the Phase III complex, and the execution of the company’s BS-VI fuel project.
In his new role, Sujith will lead the planning, execution and commissioning of major capital expenditure projects and infrastructure developments that support MRPL’s long-term growth strategy.
He will also play a key role in driving the company’s diversification plans and supporting initiatives related to energy transition and sustainable business development.
MRPL is a Schedule ‘A’ Miniratna Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas and a subsidiary of ONGC.
