Indian Embassies in UAE and Qatar Advise Citizens to Stay Cautious and Alert

Doha/Abu Dhabi/New Delhi, Feb 28: Indian diplomatic missions in the Gulf on Saturday issued precautionary advisories urging nationals to remain vigilant amid escalating regional tensions following US military action against Iran.

The Embassy of India in Doha released an “important advisory” asking Indian nationals in Qatar to exercise due caution and closely follow updates issued by local authorities and the Embassy. Citizens were urged to stay away from military sites and remain indoors unless movement is absolutely necessary. The mission confirmed it continues to function normally.

Similarly, the Embassy of India in Abu Dhabi and the Consulate General of India in Dubai issued an urgent advisory advising Indians in the UAE to avoid non-essential travel, remain vigilant, and adhere to safety guidelines. Emergency helpline and WhatsApp numbers have been activated for assistance.

Earlier, the Embassy of India in Tehran advised Indian nationals in Iran to exercise utmost caution, limit movement, and stay indoors amid the evolving security situation.

The advisories follow confirmation by Donald Trump that US forces are conducting a “massive and ongoing” military operation targeting Iran’s missile capabilities and defence infrastructure.
