India Fuel Prices Among Lowest Despite Global Turmoil : Hardeep Puri
Goa, Jan 30 India successfully kept regular folks safe from wild global energy price jumps, according to Petroluem Minister, Hardeep Singh Puri. The Union Minister explains that the government stepped in at the right time to manage fuel supplies well.
The country didn’t pass crazy international market ups and downs to local buyers, Minister noted during the India Energy Week 2026 closing in Goa. He points out that families could still afford fuel and LPG even when the world faced big political messes.
Hardeep Singh Puri claims that India holds some of the cheapest energy rates on the map today. He adds that the nation made sure the lights stayed on and cars kept running without any supply breaks.
The government really wants to push for cleaner power options like compressed biogas and green hydrogen, says Hardeep Singh Puri. He mentions that ethanol blending and biofuels will grow alongside the usual old-school fuels.
Petroleum Secretary Neeraj Mittal warns that a booming economy will naturally drive up the need for more energy. He says the country must dig for more oil at home to keep up with this rising thirst for power.
Smart tech and digital tools play a huge role in cutting costs, a view supported by the ministry led by Hardeep Singh Puri. The Secretary highlights that using modern systems makes the whole energy sector work better and faster.
