Kolkata, Dec 31 West Bengal Government appointed its first woman Chief Secretary, Nandini Chakraborty, following the retirement of Manoj Pant who has been appointed as principal secretary to the West Bengal Chief Minister.
Nandini Chakraborty is a 1994-batch IAS officer. She has held several important administrative posts in the state. In the recent past, she was the Principal Secretary to Governor C.V. Ananda Bose.
