The Valedictory function of the 44th Tamilnadu State Junior Open & 29th State Junior Girls Chess Championship 2015 was conducted at Neyveli Lignite Hall. NLC had organized the tournament at NLC Middle School, Block-9 from 12th to 16th May 2015. For this Chess Championship 235 participants inclusive of 82 girls from 27 Districts of Tamil Nadu State participated in this Chess Championship.
Sarat Kumar Acharaya, Director/HR, NLC was the Chief Guest at the function in his address the Director said to the budding talents that “Grow Well Do Well”. The chief guest gave away the prizes and trophy to Selvi Srijha Seshadri of Neyveli and Selvan S. Prasanna of Kanchipuram. Shri V. Hariharan, General Secretary of All India Chess Federation presided over the function. The report of the championship was read out by Shri R.K.Balagunasekharan, Joint Secretary / Tamil Nadu State Chess Association.
Earlier N.S.Ramalingam, CGM/TA, NLC welcomed the gathering and K. Murugan, Chief Manager/Sports, NLC proposed the vote of thanks.
