New Delhi, April 7 GAIL India Limited, a Maharatna Public Sector Undertaking under the aegis of Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MoPNG) has signed a long-term charter party agreement with Alpha Gas, a top Greek shipping company, for the LNG carrier Energy Fidelity. Pantheon Maritime Services Private Limited, a Singapore-based branch of Alpha Gas, has signed the agreement.
The deal was officially signed in Athens by S. Bairagi, GAIL (India) Limited’s Executive Director of Marketing for Shipping and International LNG, and Anna Angelicoussis, the owner of Alpha Gas.
The LNG carrier Energy Fidelity features a cargo capacity of 174,000 cubic meters and is equipped with an advanced two-stroke propulsion system, along with air lubrication technology and shaft generators. These technologies are meant to cut down on emissions by a lot while also making fuel use more efficient.
