CISF restores the bag containing cash INR 1,00,000/- to the rightful owner at Kashmere Gate Metro Station

New Delhi, 12.05.2022: On 12.05.2022, at about 1000 hrs CISF Shift Incharge at Kashmere Gate Metro Station noticed an unattended bag lying on the output roller of X-BIS machine. Immediately, he asked the passerby passengers but no one came forward to claim the bag.
Thereafter, the bag was checked from security point of view. After ascertaining, there was no dangerous/hazardous item inside the bag, it was opened. On opening the bag, cash amounting to Rs 1,00,000/- and some documents bearing contact details were found inside the bag. On the basis of contact details, the Shift Incharge of CISF contacted the person over phone and informed regarding the bag.
After some time, a passenger later identified as Mansh Singh, R/O Kanpur, UP came at the metro station and claimed the bag. He was brought to the Station Controller Room, where he informed that he forgot to collect his bag, after putting the same for x-ray screening. After proper verification, the bag containing cash amounting to Rs 1,00,000/- was restored to Mansh Singh. On getting his bag along-with cash intact, he thanked CISF and appreciated the alertness & honesty displayed by CISF personnel.
